This year every one seems to have had an absolute blast at the 2015 Chaplaincy Fun Run – all the Organisers and Marshalls had to meet at Centenary Lakes at 6.00am – Some of the marshalls who staked out the course and looked after other basic resources had a 4.00am start.
The barbeque area at Centenary Lakes in Caboolture was a buzz with people and excitement – Once registered, all moved over to the warm-up area where they were welcomed and treated to some warm-up excercises by Wyatt Roy, Member for Parliament Longman, Hoggs Breath PIG and Shane Moon from Rotary Caboolture.
You should have seen Hogg twitching when Shane Moon suggested we have a beautiful Bacon and Egg Roll with warm coffee before we start
.
The Start was quite exciting with soooo many runners trying to get away as quickly as possible. Young and old took part in the race and some parents even pushed toddlers in prams over the 2km, 5km and 10km run.
Prizes were handed out by Chris Sharp, President of Caboolture Rotary. Amongst the winners of the 10km, 5km and 2km runs, prizes were also awarded to the funkiest dressed runners and as every year also to the school with the most entries. Well Done Elimbah!
